Gift giving

Christmas is mostly about celebration, reunion, and simbang-gabi. But what makes me excited about it is Gift-giving.

When I was still a kid, I am very excited to receive gifts from my parents, relatives and godparents. But as I grew older, i am much more excited to give gifts than to receive. 

Last two years, my sister and I planned to give a grocery basket to our relatives but that time we both had a job. This year is different, we planned again but this time it will be me, my sister and my brother who's working abroad.



Those little gifts is just our act of gratitude for the things and blessings that we received this year. We may not have a perfect life, but I can say that we are still blessed to have enough of everything - clothes, shelter, food, love and family.

Small PCs

Gigabyte Brix, Intel NUC and Zotac Zbox are some of the small form factor PC. When I say small, i mean really small. Just the size of your palm.

This caught my attention when try to find a mac mini alternative. As we all know, the new mac mini are not up-gradable. Too bad! So I am looking for an alternative that can be my HTPC (Home Theater PC).

My HTPC before was the Raspberry Pi. I got the model B for better specifications. To my surprise, it work well despite of its size and specs. I ran it with Raspbmc to be a complete HTPC.

Today, I am thinking of purchasing one of these small PCs. With all of the choices out there, I am more drawn to Zotac but I have no final model yet. What do you think should I get? Ciao!
