Apparently, it is not known to all that the Royalties are not be touched unless told otherwise. This mistake was on the news most of the time and today, Basketball Superstar Lebron "King James" James breached the protocol when he put his arms around the Duchess' shoulder as seen below.
Some say, Americans are very touchy and should have not done that; but for me, I think he didn't mean to touch the Duchess. He just forgot that she was a royalty.
Sometime ago, Vladimir Putin was bashed for not helping the Queen during the 70th anniversary of D-day in Normandy. In the picture below, he is the only one following the protocol. Some say, he was isolated because of the attack of Russia to Ukraine but we can never know.
So remember, always follow the Royal Protocol when there is a Royalty in front of you (that's if will have a chance to meet them). Ciao!
